People Who Know Me Back when I started this page in 1997 there were no Web 2.0 services such as LinkedIn.com, Facebook.com, or aSmallWorld.net. The following are people who know me who at one time or another had personal web sites. n.1 Alessandro Angeloni Italy's national american-football team veteran and leading combination runningback/quarterback of all time. Being one of the most brilliant and humble people I know, Ale stands as an example of the true rennaissance man. n.2 Lorenzo Bolognini My friendship with Lorenzo began in high school and progressed over the years despite great distances in part due to our mutual interest in the high-tech sector. He is currently working for Xerox in the Dublin metropolitan area which interestingly enough used to be my old stomping grounds. n.3 Andrea Borgogelli Borgo initiated me on the path of "computerhood" back in middle school on the mythical AMIGA 500. Although he refers to himself as a freelance network and system administrator, he is a brilliant web developer as well. n.4 Filippo Clini Italy's greatest linebacker of all time. Filippo is one of the most determined and intense people I know. He is currently pursueing a career in business. n.5 Daniela Di Pierro I will always think of Daniela as a woman of the utmost intensity in almost everything she does. She is currently wrapping up two simultaneous Master's degrees at Harvard and Boston University while working full time in the high tech field. Aside from her acting and musical talents, she embodies the personality of a savvy self made diva. She will either become an internationally reknowned pop star or the first "beautiful" woman president of the United States. n.6 Frank W. Donovan A uniquely talented scholar, international corporate executive, database development pioneer, sports fisherman, poet, and writer. This man has pursued development in a myriad of arts. n.7 Pier-Franco Donovan Undoubtedly Italy's leading Florentine living poet. Personal collaborator of Mario Luzi. n.8 Janelle Donovan Janelle, a fellow American/Irish Donovan, is a multiple award winning artist/singer/songwriter. At one point her album "Moonlight Ride" reached the number 5 position in the European charts. You can purchase her CD at CDBaby.com. n.9 Mimmo Ermini Mimmo is a "unique" and great guy who supported my passion for computers when I was a teenager. Asides from nurturing a variety of hobbies, Mimmo was one of the early computer pioneers in Fano during the MSX and Amiga 500 days. He will always be a good friend of mine just as long as I do not challenge his view regarding the seventies as the culminating point of mankind's artistic expression. n.10 Andrea Falcioni Andrea is an interesting person whose love for extreme sports like snow-boarding and windsurfing have induced him to travel to some of the most exotic and interesting corners of the globe. His web site includes pictures from his travels. He together with Lucas Pavetto founded a movie company called "Image in Action Films" which specializes in mostly low budget horror movies. Click here to view some samples of his work. n.11 Andrea Giorgini Not only a great guy but one of Italy's great American Football pioneers as well. n.12 Marco La Cascia Marco is heavily involved in researching and developing exciting new internet based technologies in the high tech capital of the world. n.13 Nathan Lundblad Nathan is a brilliant physicist and a compelling writer. He lived in Boston for almost two years working for MIT while contemplating where to continue his studies in physics. In the end he decided to turn down full scholarships from Harvard and MIT. He chose to accept an equivalent offer to complete his PHD at Caltech thus returning to his native California. n.14 Pelican Milk The British/Italian band Pelican Milk was formed in 1999 by Terence Todaro, Simon Painter, and Alex Savelli. They released their third album in 2004. They are an eclectic mix of hard rock, grunge, classic rock, jazz, folk, and psychedelic music. n.15 Giancarlo Russo Giancarlo is another brilliant character who is currently one of Italy's best defensive backs having pioneered American football in Italy. He plays for the Ancona Dolphins and is finishing a degree in veterinary studies. n.16 Nita Sturiale Nita Sturiale is an accomplished artist in the Boston metropolitan area who is dedicated to bridging the gap between science and art by nurturing wonder about fundamental natural phenomena through metaphor and empirical inquiry. Her artistic ability is only equaled by her grace and pleasant personality. :-) n.17 Duilio Tacconi Duilio will definitely go down in history as the world's most crazy/brilliant American football player/chemist. Do not worry, he is not dangerous........ n.18 Giuseppe Taibi Yus researches, develops, and pioneers high end acoustic/artificial intelligence technology by day. He devotes the night to expanding his vast humanistic awareness by being an active participant in many of Boston's cultural events. Before coming to America he has been a sound engineer, actor, and journalist. A real "high profile guy".
